What is Dough Bear play dough made of?
Our handmade play dough is made with simple ingredients:
- Flour
- Salt
- Cream of tartar
- Mineral oil and/or baby oil
- Glycerin
- Water
- Food coloring
Every batch is handmade in small batches for the softest texture and brightest colors.
Is the play dough non-toxic?
Our dough is made with common household ingredients and is considered taste-safe, but it is not intended for eating. Adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger children.
What ages are Dough Bear Play Kits best for?
Most of our kits are designed for children ages 3+. Some kits contain small parts and trinkets that may pose a choking hazard.
We also offer toddler-friendly options like our My 1st Dough Kit, which is designed with the littlest hands in mind.
How long does the play dough last?
With proper care, Dough Bear play dough can last for months! Store dough in its airtight container after play to keep it soft and fresh.
What if the dough dries out?
If your dough starts to feel dry, knead in a tiny amount of warm water until the softness returns.
Will the dough stain?
Our dough is water-soluble and designed to clean up more easily than many store-bought doughs. However, we recommend avoiding light fabrics, unfinished wood, and porous surfaces just in case.
Do kits look exactly like the photos?
Each Dough Bear kit is handmade and assembled individually, so colors, trinkets, and accessories may vary slightly from the photos. Every kit is created with the same theme, quality, and overall experience in mind.
Are your kits made to order?
Many of our kits are handmade to order to ensure freshness and quality. During high-volume periods, quantities may occasionally be limited.
